The Sorma LCP-182A is a combined weighing machine to overcome the main difficulties relating to the packaging of cluster tomatoes. As those in the trade are well aware, the most time-consuming, labour-intensive phase in the process is the filling of trays with the right combination of fruit to reach a given weight.
The princple is that the weigher assists people in completion of a partially pre-filled tray. In practice, peope part-fill the tray with fruit by hand, and then depending on the weight reached, the machine finds the best combination for reaching the guaranteed minimum weight and places the missing weight of fruit on the line next to the tray to be completed.

The product is placed manually, and the machine automatically creates the correct combination.
Principle based on the manual pre-filling of the punnets and on the automatic search for the best combination needed to get the requested weight.
The line starts with two Taks pre-weighing tables. The trays are filled there with 70–80% of the final weight.
Next, the trays pass over a checkweigher, which determines which outputs should be used to top up the trays to the desired final weight.
